I purchased a T/C Cherokee .32 cal rifle with a very odd ,(to me), trigger guard . The front is standard double set trigger , however , progresses to a rear section which hangs down approx. 3.5" with finger grooves . I think this may be a throwback to "Schuetsen" style shooting . Anyway , need to know if there is an outlet for a standard type T/C trigger guard which i can purchase , or if one is even available . Thanks in advance for any leads !!

A lot of the Thompson Centers have kinda fancy trigger guards like that. The black mountain magnum and New Englanders have more of a plain trigger guard. I don't know if you can switch though. The Gun Works sells trigger guards but again, I don't know if you can make any of those work for you. I kinda think it is what it is.

I don’t know that I’ve seen a factory Cherokee with set triggers, the Seneca’s had set triggers with fancy Hawken like guards. Cherokee’s ive seen (and the 1 I have) all had a single trigger with a fairly standard guard much like what you see on the New Englander or White Mountain Carbine. Is yours a custom order through fox ridge maybe? Cherokee parts an Seneca parts are like finding hens teeth even pre COVID. Maybe something after market that fits the inlet closely would be easier. Pics of what you have might get you more input.

TC back in the day had set triggers. Them .32's are a nice gun. Load for my .32 is 20 grains FFFG, .312 RB, and .010 patching, shoos real well.
