Madman, that is correct, they are pretty much what is called an in the white gun, but they too can be somewhat rough around the edges, and will need some work, but it is mostly file and sandpaper, and polish. Most of them in my opinion, for what it's worth need wood removed. I call them bridget Jones's- a little thick in the middle, but still fun to make go boom. Bill

Madman,
Sorry I thought you were going to go with a TOTW, Chamber's kit etc.
You shouldn't have any trouble with a Pedersoli. I have a pistol that I built fromm one of their kits.
It was one reason I decided to go the next step and build a Rifle Kit.

If I find BP shooting fun (I probably will, as any type of shooting I have done so far I have enjoyed) I'll probably build my grandfather's partially finished rifle kit next. :what:

Treerat, by the time you read this it will be to late but hey.. What time does the show close? I went off memory earlier today and we couldn't find it. We might go later tonight as a family if they stay open long enough. :boohoo:

Sorry that you missed it. It was a really good show as usual. My wife and I took the day off and went there yesterday afternoon. For the last several years it has always been at the grand ballroom on the third floor of Lexington Center next door to the Hyat Regency. Just walk into the upper entrance across from the parking lot behind Rupp and go straight back.Unfortunately it closes at 4:eek:o on Saturday.Friday till 8:00. If you are really interested the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association will be haveing their fall shoot in Friendship Indiana in about three weeks. Just about everyone who was at this show will be there plus much more. It's only about a two hour drive from here. I went up for the spring shoot after being away for several years and quite enjoyed myself. Check out the NMLRA website. This is the group that got it all started back in 1933 and I am proud to have been a member since 1982. Also see the Contemporary Longrifle Association site. Sorry I didn't get back to you in time as I have been getting back to my farmboy roots neck deep in Ky burley all day. Thats tobacco for all you city fella's. ::
