Finally got out to shoot me some gong. First shot 80 yards, standing off hand. 70 grains fffg grafs. I built this rifle with furniture from the Hawken shop, stock from Pecatonica. And a Green Mountain barrel. Trigger and hammer are from old TC. Second was 100 yards, 100 grains first shot low left second much better, gong is 12 inch. This rifle is insanely accurate!

Beautiful rifle - and accurate to boot!

What stain/finish did you use on the stock? It’s stunning!
Aqua fortis, I applied several times to achieve a darker color. Then several coats of BLO. Finished with dark walnut minwax.

Hey torpedo, what did you use to finish the barrel or is it still in the white?
