Recently i have decided to use a ketchup style picnic bottle with a spout on top to squirt lube into my revolvers chambers on top of my shot. However, the bore butter that i normally use is a little expensive for as much as i shoot my revolver, so i am looking for another recipe to use. I have heard that can use crisco, which is cheap, but too thick to pass through the spout. I was wondering if anyone has useded crisco before and your ideas of what i could use to "cut" the crisco with to make it flow better.
I thought of using some ballistol to cut the crisco with. Maybe melting the crisco to liquid, then adding some ballistol to it and letting it cool to see the consistency. Maybe 3 parts crisco to 1 part ballistol. Any ideas of a cheap mixture like this, with simple ingredients that are easy to find? Thanks!
