I melt beeswax and olive oil to make a squishy paste at room temperature, but not oily. Warm it in a tray and coat the wads. Place wads on wax paper, and let cool. Place in container for the shooting bag. Some of the mixture peels off at loading, but having a little lube left over is no problem, push it into the bore, it keeps fouling soft, good for the hands.
 
I use the Skychief formula with the olive oil. It works well and maintains its lubricity while loaded without deactivating the powder charge for at least 1 month….The longest time period that I have left the charge in my shotgun.
