First deer I've shot with blackpowder, had to sort through about 10 does before I decided she was the oldest and would have the least impact if I took her for meat. I've heard stories of no bloodtrails with RB however though I didn't need it because she ran only 30 yards these pure lead balls left a great trail to follow.
.490 round ball
.015 denim jeans as patching with tc borebutter and dawn dish soap.

I see your aim was off a little you missed the center by two or more inches? LOL!

Nice deer and good shot placement!

Well done. Glad to see another "youngster" here in the forum. I'm taking my BP rifles out for the first time Saturday, hunting all of general firearm with them. Man I wish I had the same problem of picking the best out of ten! I've seen three deer total all through Archery...

Yessir, hunting on a property from the Old 300 in Texas, that is still owned by the descendants, my girlfriends family. Very blessed!

I agree with Robert! Wish I could choose the best out of ten!! But the truth is I am very blessed in where I can hunt!! Just won’t be able to make it out much this year!
Thanks for sharing!! Keep burning that powder!
