I am looking for a pistol to take to rondy and club shoots. I already have a .54 cap GPR so I am thinking about getting a .54 Lyman Great Plains Pistol to go with it. Is the GPP as good as it's big brother, the GPR? Or should I avoid it? Advice?

I have the GPP in .54 and am going to get another. Like you, the quality of it has made me think about getting the rifle. You will be happy with it.

Mine in .54 is both reliable and accurate. It will take plinking loads, as well as powerful hunting loads. Its weight and balance makes for a good offhand, one handed pistol.

:hmm:

If the quality is anything like my GPR percussion .50, the GPP should make a great companion to your rifle. Are you going for the kit. I've been thinking of a kit for sometime now. AAAAH so many projects, so little $$$$$! :idunno:

Post some pics and a range report when you get yours!

Happy Shooting :hatsoff:
