Because I have been texting him, we haven’t been conducting business on this site anymore. Reason he didn’t update it is because we live in entirely different time zones and it was purchased early this morning before he was even awake. I apologize if I handled things the incorrect way, I’ve been on this site for two days. I’m glad you’re the only person thus-far that’s acted this way, the sport seems entirely welcoming and helpful otherwise. Sorry you missed out.

It wasn’t behind the scenes. He texted me more pictures, I said I’d buy it if the bore was in good shape. Why come here to comment that when I have his number and I can say “hey man I want the rifle”? Regardless this is entirely on me and not OP, I’m sorry that I did not go about this the right way. I will know better for next time and I will make sure to comment on items that I wish to purchase, I’m sorry for any trouble I caused.

I think that type of crack comes from overtightening the screw that holds the lock in place. Usually easily fixed.
