I bought this rifle from a respected member here a couple months ago. I just don't have time for more guns.

It is UNFIRED - he never fired it and neither did I.

Previous owner refinished the stock with an oil finish and used cold blue to give the barrel an antiqued finish. It's really beautiful.

I paid $450 and just want to get that back, and I'll cover shipping in the CONUS too.

So is this a kit gun ?

Yes, it was a kit.

Unfortunately, I've already boxed it and can't readily check the date. I know it is a few years old given the history.

If it doesn't sell quickly I'll unbox it and check.

(I have to wonder why it matters. It's unfired, in great condition..)

BTW twist is 1:60.

It's been brought to my attention I need to post a pic with name/date/etc on card - will do so tomorrow - mods please do not remove thread.

The only pic I can get to zoom is the close up of the lock. Is that pitted? Are you saying it has never been fired, or just that neither you nor the previous owner ever shot it?
Thanks.

Since you need another picture with screen name and date, could you run a cleaning patch with either solvent or oil and put that in the picture with the rifle? Might help some people decide if they want to buy it.

The lock looks like it was weathered, possible with salt water and peroxide. I don't think I'd let that scare me away, it looks pretty nice. But I'm more interested in kits than finished rifles.

But at that price someone really should grab this, I paid nearly that much for my Traditions "Hawken" kit, and it is no where near as nice looking.

I would like to see the bore ,as many here would. Kinda looks like the nipple is cracked but that should be no big deal. New and unfired - ok. But kinda crusty looking. I'm sure it would clean up well. Still, seeing the outside issues, what's the bore look like. Price is right for me.

I can’t tell much from those bore pics. If you drop a AA battery down the hole negative side up, and then shine a flashlight down it, it may light the bore up.
You still have a pm from me.
