I've bought and sold on here a number of times. All I did was make a conditional offer, all he had to do was say no. But, his demand is that I send him the money and I don't get to see the gun. You guys who's panties are in a knot over this....... how many of you have spent $700 on something when the seller says he can't (or won't) send you any pictures of it? I haven't, and won't unless I have right of return.

btw.. I've bought many used guns without seeing a picture. They were just as described. Go buy a new one. They don't show a picture either.

I don't like the whole money order thing because I like to have cancelled checks. I am 74 and that's a habit of decades standing.
That said, when arranging a purchase I always say I do not expect you to ship until my check has cleared.
The gun shop in your neighborhood is no less cautious. This is an internet forum. A seller would be a great fool to be careless.
Viewed from the buyer's perspective, I will not buy from someone on this forum unless they have been on here for several years. Join today and sell me tomorrow? Strictly NOT happening.

I've actually been on this forum a lot longer than it shows. I joined a long time ago and had a lot of posts under a different name. There was a member who was making a pest of himself and I needed to get away. I told Claude I was taking a vacation and when i came back I couldn't login. So, I made this account.

I agree with the seller. I have ever seen a deal discussed in this way. Not polite and not deserved. The quality of the gun speaks for itself. It’s a fair price with a legitimate reason for sale.

Here we go again. I keep pulling my ads for this gun because I love it and don't want to sell it. Unfortunately, it's too heavy for this old man with a crappy back. I won't pull it this time.

So, I bought it new from Muzzle-Loaders. It only has a few shots on it. It's a nice gun with excellent workmanship. A bit heavy but that makes recoil really soft. It's still unregistered. I'll include a spare hickory ramrod I had made for it.

No camera, so no pictures but it's a brand new gun. This is the gun I bought and is for sale.

I’ve sold four on here one member paid me 1200.00 sight unseen for one and thanked me for it’s beauty 6 days later I wouldn’t send it to you either with out the cash up front besides I have a Great Plains hunter I love it Lyman is one of the best if not the best production ML on the market today

I'll vouch for MtnMan. I bought a Great Plains .54 from him and it was a heck of a deal. He even threw in a whole box of extras, some of which I sold and sent him the money.

Me and MtnMan are usually on different sides of the mountain on issues, but MtnMan you are not wrong in this sale attempt, and it seems like Columbus is trying to give you the same deal he gave them Indians on Hispanola.
