I have had this lubrisizer for years - but yesterday got my hand in the wrong place.
The casting and the machining done afterward left a VERY sharp edge on the front of the press.
If you have one of these for sizing your lead conicals, grab your file and dress the edges down.
I bled like I had been in a knife fight - and lost....

I got rid of that d%@&n thing years ago. Lee push through sizers make those old styles obsolete in my opinion.

I have a set of push throughs as well (Lee)
What the Lyman will do that the Lee will not - Pressure fill the conical lube grooves with even the thickest and stickiest of lubes, all without making a mess. I have even used it to lube high pressure high velocity hard lead K31 rounds with pure beeswax and a gas cap - all in one stroke. It will size and lube a hundred rounds in less than 10 minutes, including setup time. So what you think as obsolete may very well be for the purposes you need it for, you just bought the wrong tool for the job - but the Lyman is WAY more advanced in purpose and function and is what for what others of us need it for.

I can see how that would work for the modern stuff. I did the same with mine for pistol ammo.

These days i powder coat all that stuff and push it through the Lee sizer no lube needed gas check or not. I do the same with maxi balls after powder coating. Heart attacks happening right now im sure.

LOL - naw - most just smile and wait for Zonie to clip things like "gas cap" - "K31" etc.......
I was just explaining WHY it is on my bench in the first place.
I cast 24BH hard stuff and use gas caps. That just one step from fracturing a brittle alloy when launched at 55K+ pressures.
I know - I crossed that line until I found the breaking point.
My purpose in starting the thread was to let others know about the sharp edges. I have had mine for years just never got in the wrong place to find out - the hard way.....
I know of several others here that have varied interests like I do. They have "others" stuff mounted to their benches like I do.
