I'm brand new to this, looking to learn, and will appreciate any help given. My Lymon GPR came with the forecap and entry pipe attached by pins. Do I remove these pieces to properly finish them and the stock with a very small pin punch?

Thanks in advance,
Dan

Welcome to the Forum. :)

Yes. The small pins can be driven out by using a smaller metal rod.

I may be wrong but the pin holes on my GPR measure about .055-.056 inches.
That's a bit smaller than a 1/16" rod or drill bit.

You can try the 1/16" size rod but if it seems to hang up in the hole, it would be better to use something smaller.

Music wire, available at Hobby Shops or good Hardware stores comes in a lot of sizes slightly smaller than 1/16" so it might be worth looking for.

You don't have to drive the pins all of the way out with whatever your using.

After getting the pin(s) out 3/16" - 1/4" you can grab the exposed end with a pair of pliers and pull it the rest of the way out without fear of damaging the hole in the wood.
