Up for your consideration is a custom built Plains Rifle in .50 caliber by the late Houston based builder Mike Haley.
My observations:
1. Barrel make not known? Definitely well made in the U.S. Uses a 1/4x28 nipple. Is 35” long, fixed breech. Has 8 lands and grooves. Is a roundball barrel with a 1:65 twist. 15/16 across the flats. Exterior has a brown finish. Bore is mirror bright!
2. Lock is a G.Goulcher lock made by R.E. Davis. Very Nice!
3. Triggers are Double Lever/Double Set. Set trigger can be set in any sequence. Prior to, or after cocking the lock. Triggers are extremely smooth with a crisp clean break. Definitely high end!
4. Weight of the rifle is only 7 1/2 pounds.
5. Silver plated furniture.
6. Curly maple stock with patchbox.
In Conclusion, Rifle is in excellent shape and solid built. Beautiful rifle that will serve its new owner well! Wanting to thin out the herd somewhat. This rifle is definitely priced to sell for only $600 shipped to your door in the lower 48.
Respectfully, Cowboy
