.

lol thanks. Here's some more:

A Scottish Dirk I've been working on [a WIP] - blade is 3/16" x 2" x 13" @ 1090 Carbon with an elk antler handle. This is for my Class A uniform for Honor Guard:

Tip:

Edge - was hand honed with a stone:

Tang almost done:

What it will basically look like when finished:

Then I have to make the scabbards. One will be utilitarian [common 10-12 oz leather] and the other will be made from a Clarino finish [aka Patent leather] Sam Browne belt [for the uniform].

druid, you are well on your way to the dark side!

here are some books to complete your journey:
Recreating the 18th Century Powder Horn by Scott and Kathy Sibley http://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/76/1/BOOK-R18CPH
and
Recreating the 18th Century Hunting Pouch, by T.C. Albert http://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/49/1/BOOK-R18-CHP

by way of a warning: you need a separate horn and pouch for each and every muzzle loader you own. remember, also, that you can never be too rich, too thin, or have too many muzzle loaders ...
:) :rotf:

good luck with your projects!

LOL...thanks for the links

Currently I only own one smoke pole and [for the moment] is the only one I think I need.

I'll definitely check out those links though.
