My brother's birthday is this weekend so I made him a knife. First one I've ever done so it's a bit rough. I want to do some silver wire inlay on a rifle sometime so I figured I'd practice on something a lot cheaper than a stock. :surrender:

The blade is from TOTW. Norwegian carbon steel.

It was lots of fun. I'm going to make some more!

That is a very nice job for a first time attempt, By jove I think you've got it.

I've found that making those knives can be addictive. Mine don't usually look as good as your first attempt tho. GW

Thanks guys! Ohio, you are right that these are good blades. I don't believe I've ever got as good an edge on a knife as on this one. One pass and it shaves all the hair off of a strip of forearm. And I'm not that great at sharpening!

Nice work, sir. I have had silver wire and all of the tools laying around for two years and still haven't had the courage to do a knife handle.

That's nice knife. Sounds like a good piece of steel too. Your brother should be pleased. :hatsoff:
