Made a leather canteen.

Been making some leather hunting bags & pouches and always wanted a leather canteen but they're a lil pricey :hmm: Thought it cant be too bad to make one, grabbed a small skillet for a pattern & went to work.

Next time I'll make the spout shorter & wider howsomever it work's good. Holds just over 2 cups

Nice. I never could understand how those things would not leak.

I have two of them and they are sealed inside with beeswax. They do not leak and the beeswax gives the water a pleasant taste.

Curmudgeon, your canteen looks very well constructed and it will serve you for many years.
