Lots of guns are made in Japan, any one in particular you are referring to?

Depends on the rifle how good they are. Japaneese made rifles run the gamut from cheap pieces of junk to very fine. Much the same as spanish rifles during the eighties. The early Dixie Tennessee Rifle was made in japan by Moroku, I believe. These were great rifles. Very accurate and well made.

it's a .45 cal, what i call, kentucky rifle, full wood...the only markings are...JAPAN P.R. 0239...Lee

The only bad thing I have heard about some of them is the welding of the breech instead of a threaded plug, I would not be afraid of one with a standard breeching arraingment

I had one and gave it to my brother, he killed a deer with. My buddy had one and he killed a deer with his. A lot like the CVA's. A workable gun for little of money. Dilly

Jed it's one piece,i believe what is called a full stock, end of the barrel to the butt...Lee
