Yes, this is correct. But in recent years the prices for raw horns has gone through the roof. I would rather make friends with a rancher, maybe even help him work is cattle for a day, and pick up fresh cut horns from the ground for free. And, it never hurts to make new friends. If the ranch is large you may even be invited to use his property for hunting. Resourcefulness can have many benefits.
