Making round balls

What do you recommend to get started making round balls? Is there a good source for lead?

I would check recycling places, and tire shops, get the flat stick-on wheel weights, Now some are pure lead and some are Tin etc. I throw them on the floor and if they thud they are lead if they ping throw them away. I have 35lbs. of them right now ready to go, I make them into ingots first. Also check back 10 or so pages, we have this conversation once every 2 months or so it seems.

It was just like a "Wet Paint" sign. I had to find out for myself. :haha: It didn't let me see them either. Guess all of the other posters were right after all. :idunno:

Oh I think they're still there under your "posted topics".
I pulled those from a "note" I made to myself.
But finding them again Cynthia will take some digging. I just haven't found the 1/2hr or so to do it.
They've just fallen out of the forum's standard search feature time frame.

For you folks looking for topics with the search engine:

The "advanced search" is automatically set up to search posts made "A year ago" or newer .

You can change that so it will search for all posts A year ago or older to get to the older posts.

You can also change the "A year ago" to a bunch of different settings if you know what your after.
