Today the ups man brought me a suprise 2 muzzleloading parts guns. One spanish 20 gauge sxs shotgun with one missing hammer and a chromish finish flecking off all the metal parts and a piece of rag stuffed down one bore. found a hammer took a little heat and bend to line her up matches 100% .. Tried a new technique took all the metal parts tang, lock sideplates minus springs sear etc. trigger gaurd heated them red hot quenched them in oil. polished them up with jewlers rouge and a buffing wheel and they came out great. a nice bluish mottled black stock has alot of figgure in the walnut.. makes it look vintage The other is a jukar 45 kentuckish flint lock. had a minor lock problem took all of 1 minute to fix. yea there cheap but $118.00 later I didnt do too bad. now too quickly I am without a project

thanks she dont point too well barrels are 36" long which in its self is ok but the stock is so dainty in the forearm and short I find myself grabbing the barrel to balance it instead of the forearm. In gun digest a old back issue fadalla had a little bp double called a texas terry or something similar it had probably 12 inch barrels. I was thinking about 15-16 inches would be a neat little double and being who bp theres no barrel lenth restrictions. not pc but still fun to play with reminds me of some of the hammer bp guns in tha saloons of the old west era. off to fire up the chop saw

well porkchop shouldnt hurt too much only cut it down to 28 inches bbl lenth. It was just too unwieldy for a shotgun no geese in florida lol

I wish could use another one lol.. it blew out with the air compressor removed the nipple and stuch the tip of the nozzle you clean the floor off with out she came. Cannot figgure why someone rammed a rag down the bore?
