Having just completed a fowler, I really enjoyed looking at this one. One thing I learned from studying Mike's architecture is that it is really important to set the lock low in order to get the slim wrist profile and fine lock mortise and still be able to uncover only 1/2 or a slight bit more of the side flats on the barrel, Just look at how short it is from the bootom around the trigger guard up to the tang area! Its a real challenge to build one so slender and beautiful, but I think it is a standard worth trying to emulate on the next one I do. Mike's eye for this type of gun is really something!!
