Trying to find a matching sidearm to go with a Tulle.
The only thing I can find is what Loyalist arms has.
Any opinions on this combo.
The caliber and time period are the same.

Since you are in the building mode, check out the euro pistol part sets from MBS:

They have 3 several in 20 gauge/.62.
A few more choices anyway.

I think the MBS guns are much better looking, Any French pistol from the period would work I guess, just don't know from a historical view how likely a nonmilitary person would be to have a military pistol, I have not seen any French civy pistol parts sets, maybe TRS?

No problem. I am finishing up a .50 pistol on a trapper precarve and have ordered several parts from MBS. They are very nice people to work with. I rather like the looks of the Danish gentlemen's pistol. They say its circa 1700... but its not .62. You may call and ask them.

I just ordered the:First Model 1733 French Dragoon Pistol,62 cal. smoothbore in brass trim.
First time Ive used MBS.
They do seem like very nice people.
This pistol should go very nice with the Tulle as a backup piece.
Ill post some pics when I get it.

Great! I haven't seen any pics of that particular pistol except on MBS' website and in their catalog. Have fun.

I am glad you went with the MBS pistol. The more I see those Indian knock-offs, the more the look like cartoon guns.

No offense to those that have them, but there is just too much wood around those things...
