Matchlock barrel

New to this forum.
I'd like to make a matchlock rifle.
Not for hunting, just to try and do it.
Might be wrong, but has anyone made a matchlock with a rifled barrel??????
I know it's not traditional, but it would be more accurate, and probably more fun.

They did exist, especially on target matchlocks but in period they were less common. The matchlock I am building is a smoothie but hey I'd say do it and have fun. :thumbsup:

Welcome to the forum

I know you said “Not for hunting” but if you ever changed your mind a smooth bore would be a better
choice where you live.
