Maximum twist on muzzleloaders

All my 45/70s are 1:10 twist. The single shots shoot 405, 430, and 540gr paper patched bollits.
All but the 540s go 1450fps, the damage in penetrating 6ft of meat, there is enough power at slow speeds. Using holy black only.

That is an awfully fast twist for 45/70. Who cut your barrels?

Was thinking the same. Mine is 1:20 and shoots the 550 Trenk Pedersoli bullet just fine.

I think long distance shooting with muzzleloaders is amazing!
700 yards is fantastic.
What type of projectile do you use?
