Do any of you fine folks know how this measurement is made? I assume the start point would be the center of the tumbler and from there possibly the flat of the bottom jaw (?). I ask because Jess at TRS always gives the 'throw' meas. of his locks and have often mulled the prospect of using Chambers internals on various TRS lock plates etc. I would think the throw would be the critical factor on such an approach. Thoughts, insights please. Thanks

You can make one of these from thin scrap whatever, it helps to visualize the hammer you need. This may help. I’ve found “ hammer throw” measurements don’t help me much in fitting a hammer.

Thanks S.S. I see some insights there but my bifocals are getting maxed out, I'll go back to it after a bit. That looks like a cool old manual you have there. To clarify further, my thought would be to use lockplate, hammer, and frizzen from TRS and substitute all internals. So it would seem the the tumbler notch positions would be a key factor relative to the hammer's arc/throw. If that makes sense. Thanks for the response !
