Well guys....we made it to another Christmas ! I don't think I'll see another one, but I'm glad to be here this year. I have a son here visiting from California and that's a pretty long trek to East Texas. He realizes that this is probably our last Christmas together and we are enjoying our time together. He has come out before and shot some hogs with me, and loves Texas...so I think when I'm gone he is going to move out here and continue with my shooting and hunting. I have a beautiful custom made full stock Hawken that has my name engraved on it.....and his name is the same....

I've been saying that for the last 4 or 5 Christmases, "this may be my last" (77 now). Reminds me of that scene in "Little Big Man" when Dustin Hoffman and Chief Dan George go to the top of a mountain and Chief Dan George lays down, face up, and says, "I am ready to go great father, take me." All he got was some rain in the face. It was humorous and touching.

Anyway, Merry Christmas Stony Broke, may this Christmas be another in an undetermined number of Christmases to come.

I sure appreciate your faith and hope. Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with a condition that will continue downhill until I'm gone. I still love our hobbies and would love to be still active in them. I recently gave a TC Hawken and the stuff to shoot it with to a friend and took him to a club range to teach him how to shoot one. He made it to his second match before he shot a possible (50) on one target....but I think he has lots of potential. I've made it to 76 yrs old and was still winning a lot of club matches until this problem hit me. May life treat you all in a heavenly manner.....

I know how you feel. I was told to get things in order after my Doctor, ,who is my friend as well as my doctor, found I had a terminal problem. I sold and gave away some very nice and expensive weapons along with tools, books and a host of other items. The estimated time that I was given has long been passed by several years. My doctor is at a loss for words and tells me what ever I am doing to continue doing it? I told him that all the credit for my health holding up is My lord and the wife he blessed me with. Think positive and suround yourself with loved ones. You will be in my prayers!
