I hope this is the right forum for this .I've got a lyman mould That's all gooped up with lead soldered to it. Anyone have any advice on how to remove this stuff ? I'd really like to use it .

:hmm: Just put the mould on a hot plate or your melting pot until it warms up---the lead (if it is lead ) should just fall off.

If the molten lead doesn't just fall off, while wearing gloves, take a DRY rag and wipe the metal off the mold blocks...

You can use a lead pencil to scrape off the lead without harming the mould. I always keep a few pencils on the casting bench.
