I haven't got to do much on my build lately do to medical issues. I have been thinking about it though. So here is a question. Has any used or heard of someone using salt etching as a way to finish the metal? It's easy to do and once oiled it seems to hold up well. Just a thought.

Never heard of doing this - just looked it up - very interesting process! Looking forward to learning more about it here.

I did some etching on some tomahawks for some friends. 2 9volt batteries and salt water. It worked well if you don't oil then it turns into more of a controlled brown rust finish
