I bought this Metropolitain 1862 a couple of months ago at a auction along with some other muzzleloaders.
At that time I wasn't sure if I'd keep it or not, I'm really not a revolver person so I've decided to place it for sale here.
It's in incredibly good condition for its age no pitting on the surface and minimal pitting in the bore and cylinders.
The gun was manufactured in 1864 and has all matching numbers, it falls into the ser# range of the Metropolitans that were not marked with the manufactures name. These revolvers are rarer than colts and almost impossible to find in this condition.
I'm asking 1500.00 shipped, no offers, and no price reductions, In this condition the revolver retails at between 3-4 thousand
If it doesn't sell here I'll place it in one of the auction houses and even at a 20% commission will make more than 1500.
