Does anyone use or make oriental/caucasion style weapons anymore? The ones i can find photos online of are always snaphaunce, miquelet or matchlock.

if anyone here has shot one off, just how does the straight as a board stock affect ease of shooting?

Dixie sells a Japanese matchlock or tanegashima. http://www.dixiegunworks.com/product_info.php?products_id=2502

I don't think there is much interest in North African or SW Asian style guns, tho I could be wrong. Probably, no one has much idea of the correct way of holding them for shooting. Judging from antique dealer sites, there isn't much interest in that type of antique either except for ultra high end items.
