I have for sale a Mike Brooks built southern iron mounted 40 cal rifle. It is his 343rd gun he has built. The stock is a nice piece of walnut I got from Curt Lyles. The barrel is a Charles Burton 38 inch A weight that I had Charles cone for me when he made the barrel. It loads very smooth an easy with .390 ball an good thick pillow tick patch. The lock is a Chambers round faced english that is very smooth. The iron furniture is from track of the wolf an IIRC Mike made the side plat an the nose cap. This is a very nice smooth shooting rifle made by a man that knows his stuff and is no longer taking orders being he is looking at retirement. The rifle weighs just a few ounces over 7 lbs. She is very slim. I named her Delilah an Mike engraved her name on the sideplate. The price is $3600 shipped an insured to conus in a sturdy built wooden crate.
