Has anyone had business dealings with Military Heritage Arms aka Access Heritage arms in Canada?
They make “museum “ quality NON firing muskets for display.
They have no accolades mentioned online and I am leary about ordering from them. Have you heard of Military Heritage Arms aka Access Heritage arms in Canada?

They are a legit company and have been discussed here frequently but not so much as some of the other vendors of Indian guns. I think one of their reasons is that some members feel that a gun that's manufactured without a touchhole was never intended to be more than a wall hanger and would be unsafe if modified to shoot.

OK, that’s good to know. This is one of those exceptions where the non firing thing is absolutely legit and needed.
Myself, I love BP and firing both my Petersoli and Miroku Bess. And buy the way- I’ve been getting some great flints from Karl Lee in the UK. He is an amazing flintknapper.

Three videos to check out on you tube. Ethan here has used these wall hangers with charges up to two hundred grains 1F
He does a lot of shooting with military heritage

I just got a loyalist arms. Lock sparks as well as my Davis and chambers, fit is equal to what I do on my builds and equal to what I’ve seen on perdisoli
The wood was all heart wood, I got it unfinished as I plan to paint, it’s 9.4 lbs in a .76 with 46” barrel, expected weight
The forearm is thick and I need to cut it slimmer, there are some scratches to buff out of the barrel.
Ramrod will be replaced. Bore is smooth with no drags or rough spots

I see used Pedersoli’s, navy arms muskets, and rifle shoppe muskets for sale all the time. You just have to know where to look, I’d take a used gun over the Indian guns on any occasion.

I’ve worked on. Any Indian made Bess’s and Charlevilles.

I had to recently hand make a new mainspring for an Indian made Charleville, there are no drop in parts and not many are willing to work on them. The lock was a mess, pan not strongly secured, frizzen was soft and not drilled straight, bridle has no integral pin, so the internals move around, sear is wrong, its more like an enfield sear.

Low quality products.

@Jimmichanga requires a Brown Bess with no touch hole to be used as a non- firing but sparking demonstration musket.

The Military Heritage Arms Musket certainly meets those requirements. For his purposes, a musket manufactured to " meet " firing specifications, but can't be considered a firearm by India regulations for export since there is no touch hole.

I agree with the liability concerns for those that want a shootable musket.

Dixie Gunworks listing as of 12:42 PM 25 April 2023
Pedersoli 1795 Springfield Musket - $1,850.00
Loyalist Arms listing as of 12:42 PM 25 April 2023
1795 Springfield Type I Musket - $697.00

$1,850 - $697 = $1,153 difference. I'm just another blue-collar joe that got a 2 year RN degree; I'm telling you, that eleven Benji's + a Grant isn't a little / trivial amount of money. To you billionaires that are married to super models, fly your helo's to one of your yachts that are the size of a Nimitz class carriers; that is not a concern. But to most of us plebes, it can be a insurmountable amount.

FYI

The add is miss leading.

They’re quoting a price for an Indian made musket for 697$

But the musket pictured is a Pedersoli 1795 …. Scam

If you purchase this, you will not get what’s pictured

I’m a nurse too. Twenty nine years now
Been a front stuffer near forty five.
All these comments made about Bombay Pipe Bombs an curry poppers were all made about CVA in the seventies, Mako in the eighties pedisoli in the nineties

Mine, it needs some work, but is shootable as is , 100 perfect ? No
Compare to a five grand custom from rifle shot parts ? No
Accurate styling enough sir me compared to an origanal

You get what you pay for, but I’m happier having this then not having better tgat I can’t afford

I’m of the opinion you need to be informed as to what you’re buying.

If you don’t mind lower quality in terms of lock work, stock quality and balance… an Indian gun is a good match for you.

If you have high expectations but are settling for an Indian gun, you’ll never be satisfied.

I’m working on an Indian bess now, it’s ok for an Indian bess overall, but the lock junk, plate is chewed up internally, springs are weak and geometry is terrible. Needs a rebuilt lock. 700-800 for an Indian bess, and now $200 to redo the lock. Not a good investment.

My brother and I have purchased six or seven from military heritage! All spark well and with minor tuning are good guns! Somebody did a survey on this site about a year ago and half owned India guns the other half hated them! A lot of people here like kibler's for 1,200 a kit or $3,000 for some of the custom flinters! If you're a nuts and bolts kind of guy or just like tinkering and India gun can be a good way to go! If you get frustrated easy with having to tune locks and Springs maybe you should get something different

Yeah I have four, they spark well and they kill game, and it's more than 2x more, not "a little more", and no grief yet... had them for years now.....
