i shoot a 27 year old .54 tryon rifle that is realy a .53 cal,it has a 1 in 47 twist and shoots minis just as well as round balls.i have a lee .533 mini mould and have a lee sizer die at .529. i have two base plugs for the mould one std and one that will prduce a mini with thick skirt.the std mini is 415 grn and the thick skirt mini is 430 grn, the thick skirt mini when pushed by a heavy charg of black powder is very accurate.
and is devistating on big hogs.see pic of the two mini's.

Wow Bernie!! I never realized how big of a difference there was between the thin skirt Minis and the thick ones. I bet the 430grn one is a real thumper.
