It might be too small in diameter for your .45" bore.
The 445599 blocks I've checked out made right at .445" diameter minies.
I never had success with them except for soft lead and Jacks Battle loads in a (not discussed) carbine. It was a relatively small amount of powder, they expanded and filled out the .451 diameter rifling.

The 54 Renegade I tried a Lyman Minnie in the ball would move any time you lowered the muzzle including falling out. PRB solved that problem.

In an H&A kit 45 rifle under hammer I made the Lyman Minnie even though the barrel was tight needing a .433 ball would also move it the bore but never actually fell out. To me that was even more dangerous.

Two wraps of easy wider rolling papers and some Foggy Mountain bee's wax and bear oil lube solved that problem. I killed a couple of deer and a cow moose with that ball and never recovered one as complete penetration was had.
