I won't make the meeting but I have sent this message via email:

I would be against the use of scopes on muzzleloading firearms.

The reason is simple, muzzleloaders have been granted an extra season because they use primitive weapons and I am in favor of that.

However, the people who want to use scopes on a muzzleloader are not using primitive firearms. Instead, they are using the very modern designs of in-line muzzleloaders. In-lines should not be used during a primitive hunting season. They are just modern firearms designed to take advantage of a hunting season that was not intended for them.
