I grew up in Stoutsville and Tom Abel lived up the hill from us. Was at their house all the time. Spent many hours with Rex, Tom’s son. Tom and my father were close friend. Even after their house was basically destroyed by the worst hail storm I have ever witnessed we used to go visit them frequently at their new place between Florida and Paris.

My Papaw was Matt Abel, Tom's brother we lived in Papaws house up around the curve from Tom's close to my great Aunt Carrie Cartmen. I now live in Kansas City and I'm planning on making a trip over to Stoutsville and Monroe city this summer.

I went to grade school in Hunnewell 2 of my best friends lived in Hunnewell Dennis Dexter and Daniel Kunce.

Yes I've been a bowhunter still the early 80's I was living in south Arkansas back then recurves and then compound bows back a forth until I broke my left elbow in 1995 and then in 2017 I had to get it replaced so I hunt with a crossbow now but it's just not the same but I still get to hunt.

My parents and brothers used to stay at Jordan's cabins near Stoutsville in the 1960s.

We're on Spencer Creek between Center & Frankford. Any news about M/L shooting within driving distance would be a welcome thing. Closest club I've even heard of is near St. Louis.

I'm about 20 minutes from Shelbina. I do not know of a shoot there this weekend. I will check on this.
