I modified a .54 caliber Caywood rifle to include the features I couldn't otherwise get. I reduced the barrel to 39" to clear the coning the bore previously had. I crowned the muzzle and dovetailed a taller front sight to replace the low sight that had previously been soldered on the barrel. I dovetailed a taller rear sight into the octagon portion of the barrel to replace the low brass sight previously soldered on. I refinished the stock in a dark brown finish, added a sling, and had a friend add carving behind the tang. I refinished the barrel exterior to have a worn, speckled finish. The rifle and sling weigh 8 1/2 pounds. The rifle is now very accurate. $2,995.00 plus actual insured shipping. If interested, please contact me at [email protected]
Thanks,
