If I bring in my gpr in the house from the cold and I have tape on the muzzle and I take the cap off of the nipple and cover the nipple before I bring it in the house will moisture form in the barrel?

Yep , not as much, but some will form. In this weather I leave my gun in the barn from day to day when hunting. :idunno:

The moisture in the barrel forms when you have humidity in the warm air condense as it hits the cold barrel . You can get condensation in your bore by bringing the rifle in from the cold and the cold barrel will cause the moisture in the warm air in the house to condense on and in the barrel. If you can adequately seal the barrel before bringing it into the house so that the warm air in the house cannot get inside the cold barrel, you will not get condensation in the bore. You will possibly get condensation on the outside of the barrel but not on the inside. But you must completely seal out the warm inside air.

+2 for ramrod and kenton! ALSO; a warm truck cab with hunters inside will cause the same trouble. Either case it outside in the cold or leave it in the back of the truck! This is of utmost importance to a flint shooters!
