Here is what I found Sunday on my Monthly Pawn and Antique shops trip to upstate New York...
Would like to know were I can find a owner manual for this rifle...

It's a CVA Mountain Rifle in .50 cal. Percusion...
It has a 32" barrel.
Barrel has some small pits on the muzzle, But the bore is Shinny and rust free..
Bluing is at 90%.. Stock is in 95%..

Really nice looking, Here is some pictures::::

I think CVA may have had just the one owner's manual that covered most or all of their old-style sidelock rifles. If that's correct, check out this link:

Just out of curiosity (as one who likes to check out pawnshop deals on muzzleloaders), what's a used CVA mountain rifle sell for in the upstate NY pawnshops nowadays?

So if you can find a way to buy cheap in-lines, then you could trade them to the pawn shop owners; say 2 sidelocks for one in-line. You win big-time, and the shopowner does well too!

O man and here I thought I stole mine brand new in the box for $125 last year .I also in another deal got two CVA Hawkins for $75 each
Great find I have always wanted one now I want a big bore LOL

I built one from a kit years got tired of it not firing all the time. Sold it to a friend for $50.00 haven’t got a clue what he did with it as he has passed away since. It had one of the best barrels for accuracy I have had until my Lyman GPR.

Good luck with your search. They are a great rifle for the money.

Folks,

To my lights, that would be like hitting the lottery. Lucky soul, great find.
