last day to put into the moose draw in ontario .

were hunting wmu 41.

anyone else moose hunting this season??

Our family members apply each year for the moose permit lotteries for the states of Maine,New Hampshire and Vermont. I've been lucky to have been drawn in 2003 and my mom in 2004. The chances are very slim I will admit.

When my dad bear hunted in Minnesota he said the guys around there said you only can get a moose tag once in a lifetime. If we had tags like that I wouldn't even apply.

Mr. hawk 2,
In rereading my post, I see I may have given offense to some. That was not my intent. We consider ourselves very blessed to live in an area that has so much to offer. We do not take it for granted.
We wish every success to those on this forum that apply for special permits to expand their hunting opportunities and the memories they bring.
Best Wishes

Will be hunting as one of a group escorting a member of the Wounded Warrior project out this season. His primary escort is working on getting an exemption from the state to use motorized vehicles to get the disabled Soldier out into the hunt area. Hopefully it'll be cool enough weather that the rut will have started so that we can call them in close since the area is quite thick with alders and willows. Would like nothing better than to see this young man get a moose.

Good on you, Stomper. It's worth all efforts. Love to see Fort Rich do some wounded warrior hunts. Perfect program for them and the location is great.

I am heading to NE Alaska in Sept. for a moose/caribou hunt.

My first Alaskan hunt.
