I think the sketches pre-date the issue of the magazine. Note no electric lights visible in any pics. But 2 sketches clearly show large voluminous windows letting in the light.
Very interesting sketches, based on what I've seen standard guns of the period priced at they couldn't have made much $$.

Steam and water power but wondered if anyone knew how the stones were made. Sandstone sedimentary or tertiary rocks and cut by masons with chisels or rope and sand. And in the wash up, how many dies of silicosis? A hard life.
