I had an older TC Renegade that had a broken (actually shattered) stock.

I sent the stock and a box of Renegade parts up to TC and explained to them clearly in a letter that the stock did not fail but rather fell down a flight of stairs and shattered.

I fully expected TC to send me a bill for a new stock which would have been more than reasonable in my mind.

A few weeks later I received a completely re-assembled Renegade in a box with a brand new stock and fitted with my older parts.

Amazing.

No bill, no cost.

Those guys up there in NH are GREAT!

Wow! That is great!
A person has to respect a Company like that! The more I hear of T/C and their customer service, the more inclined I am to buy their product.
I have heard several such testimonials. Those folks seem to try harder than anyone else I hear of in this business. :front:

I think no one can say anything bad about t/c ,they do bend backwards,I will be sending my lock in as soon as I get back up north, seems it needs relacement(flinter) :agree:

It's too bad they don't market a fairly true reproduction of a real Hawken or Dimick Rifle.
Lets choose Dimick. People have pretty much run the Hawken name into the ground.
The caliber could be .50 or .54.
They could offer it in Precussion or Flint (did Dimick make a flinter?).

I would think with their reputation for quality and standing behind their product there would be a fairly good market for such a gun.
I suspect people might even be willing to pay prices in the $550-$650 range for one. I would.

One thing it would not have is that Ugly TC rear adjustable sight.

I would even accept such manufacturing shortcuts like putting a coil spring lock in it. Lets admit it, for most of us, if you can't see it, it's no big deal.
Then again, they could contract with L&R to make RPL locks for them and offer a real leaf spring for the few who really care enough to spend the very best. ::
