Morel Mushroom time is almost here...so fill-up my plate and my horn mug with beer!

Let's here your Morel Mushroom favorite recipes!

Sauteed with onion and garlic in extra virgin olive oil and served on garlic toast. Anybody got a tic-tac??

cooked with deer meat stroganoff over egg noodles, I hope to replace it with stuffed with chives and goat cheese if my goats have kids.

Saute with onions and butter. Add cream, salt, and pepper for the best cream of mushroom soup you'll ever drool over!

dipped in egg, floured and fried in real butter and served with crappie or bass fillets.

I don't like mushrooms, so when I find some, I give them to my boss. He likes them, and the benefits of that are very sweet.

Damn horner75, when I saw your topic headline , I thought you boys over east were already baggin em :shocked2:

Just oil, heat and on MY plate works for me.

Horner,
Oh,I have a friend that gives me 10/12
of them every year.Should be getting them in the
next couple of weeks.Had lots of rain, just need some sun. I like them sliced in 1/2 fried in butter, onion and garlic and served with a rare piece of prime rib.

Time to limber up the 'shroom gun, work up a load and go on out to find the elusive and wily morel. They are sneaky little critters. When bagged, however, I like them breaded with cracker crumbs and fried in olive oil.

For the beginners, go to morels.com and select your state and check the pictures. Notice the dates they are found. If you never did this before...it is another reason to "hit the woods". Don't forget to take your smokepole with you. Tom
