I used to grow them a while back and want to get back into it.
Never , Ever pick mushrooms that you do not %100 know what they are, Painfull way to go if you hit it wrong.
Oyster mushrooms are the easiest and people have used old newspaper to grow them, just soaked and added spores.
I was using Natural Oak pellets used for smoking to grow mine.
Oyster are great because they metabolise toxic material so the flesh is healthy. In the US their being used to neutralise toxic waste dumps.
King Oysters in the store normally have their roots still attached, just cut off the base and plant in material, as easy as that. Keep them moist not wet, need some light but not direct. They absorb Vit C from the Sun.
