Another piece of famous armor is Ned Kelly's armor, and specifically, his helmet.
It's even used in a commercial for some tough window screens.
Ned was a famous outlaw in Australia. He's worth googling.
You may have seen his helmet without knowing what it was.
I would post a photo of his helmet, but I don't want to incur any fines for SASS. :dunno:
Thanks @Brazos John. You piqued my curiosity and I had to Google that one. I'm glad I did.

Here is an interesting discussion about a French cuirassier's armour said to have been worn by a cavalryman at the Battle of Waterloo. It resides in the French Army museum at Les invalides, and I have personally seen it up close. Historians are now asking questions on the authenticity of the armour - or at least the claims surrounding it. What do you all think? As it appears to have been hit by the roundshot from a cannon, I have placed this in what I hope is the relevant section. By the way, this guy Metatron has a series of very interesting videos on many historical subjects, and he seems to research his topics well.

Who knows? You can’t know. Metatron has some interesting stuff and some that is way out there.

There has to have been poor guys who got hit that way. That’s what artillery is for — to kill the other side.
