I have a question that is focused on the use of firearms in restricted areas in PA and I thought I would float it out here. I would also like to hear from folks in other states if there are restrictions on the firearms that can be used in certain areas. Anyhow, here goes. Can muzzleloaders be used in Restricted Areas that are designated for firearms that use rimfire ammunition (.17 and .22 only), yet permit shotguns firing slugs or shot? I do a lot of woodchuck hunting in Chester County and use my .17 HMR with good results. However, I sure would like to use my muzzleloader to add some variety but I am not sure if it is legal. I can always call the Game Commisssion, but I thought I would start here.
