Moving my front sight

1. After load work up. Fire shot at target. "X"
2. Aim at "X" again. Clamp rifle in that position
with sights locked on "X"
3. Adjust sights to first bullet hole.
4. Un-clamp rifle from bench.
5. Fire 2 more shots.

If your final 2 shots tickle the first one, you are sighted in. No math except counting the shots.

It works for me... Might be a Southern method, I was raised just north of you in Tennessee.

A sight is a sight, they all work the same. I amaze the young ones when I "bore sight" a new rifle using the bore. No electronic gizmos or calculators used.
