After removing the Fourstock from the barrel by pulling the forward pin I noticed no pin for the rear but a wood dowel inside without a way to attach it to stock. Anyone else with a Mowrey noticed this and what is a better way to secure stock, have my ideas but just lookin for other ideas.

I had a Mowrey 12 ga shotgun and the forearm fit in a socket at the back but had a transverse pin through the forearm then directly through the barrel wall, even tho the barrel was only 1/8 inch thick. No problems though.

The forearms were usually attached by two pins that pass through the forearms and the bottom of the barrel. Drilling these can be difficult and I usually will mill a small flat spot on the oblique flats so drill will not try to walk off.

I think you’re missing a small wood block that was glued into the forestock with the dowel extending from it. I’ve attached photos of mine with the dowel and glue block intact. Should be an easy fix.
