I have a steel framed .58 mowery rifle. I bought this rifle at a gun show in Wichita Falls, Tx from Mr. Mowrey himself (about 30 years ago).It is marked Mowrey .58 on the hammer side and Olney,Tx on the other. Mr. Mowery had sold the company and was selling some of his private guns. This is the only steel framed .58 Mowrey I have ever seen or heard of. I retired the rifle a few years ago but have decided to shoot it some. Are there any parts available if needed. It is a beautiful rifle that shoots great. Thanks, Reggie

I purchased a Mowrey .58 caliber rifle with the steel frame from Mountain State Muzzleloading in WV around 1990. At that time they seemed to be offering the rifles in both brass & steel, though the brass framed ones seem to be the most commonly seen.

The current available parts are thru DEER CREEK...
but they are different diamensions than the Olney guns,,,,so if you need to replace any part in the lock you will have to replace them all...
