They are now made by Deer Creek Products in Indiana and sold by various dealers including myself. They are no longer available finished but only in Kit form. :redthumb:

It is a hand cut barrel you can shoot 125 gr without stripping 1-60 gain twist rifling I bought it at a auction years ago paid 400.oo for it has a Bic. paper with it might be worth something down the road? Boar-dilly

Boar, I think I am gonna get one....is your rifle a brass or iron frame? Are they hooked breech? or fixed tang?

They are not hooked breech or fixed tang. The receiver is bolted to the stock and this includes the trigger and nipple. The barrel is screwed into the recei :m2c:ver.

does this configuration cause any problems when cleaning?
Does the trigger assembly need to be dismantled every time ya clean? Will the barrel become frozen to the receiver after some time???

Not at all! I simply replace the nipple with a flushing nipple (larger ID) and a piece of small tubing. Works slick!

FWIW, as a field expedient cleaning solvent, try the new Butch's Blackpowder Bore Shine cleaning solvent. It cleans up in just a few patches. At the last BP shot I went to ... skeptics who were wary of Butch's BP tried it on their "clean" rifles and it brought out more crap from their barrels. Let's just say that they stopped on their way home and each bought a bottle.

Not one bit! FWIW I've been shooting mine for 5 years, cleaning as above and just due to your question alone ... I just took the backplate off my action. Clean as a whistle!

Look at this picture below, there's no way for dirt or contaminents to get in there ... less from the trigger opening.

Good question. Maybe, maybe not. My receiver is brass so I think I may have less of an issue than the iron framed Mowrey. But let me ask you ... why would you "have" to take it apart :: ?

I have a brass framed 45 that i will be posting in the adds sometime in the next couple days. they are nice rifles i think great for a small shooter
